Bridge Design and Construction

As a civil engineer your job is to construct a bridge across the "Dismal River."  However, to make your job easier, quicker, and require less materials, you will only have to construct a wooden model of your bridge. Study the different types of bridges and the many different uses of bridges.    

About this Quest:
This webquest is an Intro to Technology at the junior high level.  This project is research and development on building and designing bridges.  It should take approximately two weeks for the students to complete.  Each student will design and build their own bridge. 

Quest Author:
My name is Mr. Todd Pollock.  I am the Industrial Technology instructor at Mullen High School.  I teach grades 7-12.
