First Continental Congress and Manifest Destiny

The Process

1. Your teacher will break your class into groups of four or more. Each group will be its own news team. Once in your groups, deccide which role each member will play.
2. Once each memeber has a role, be prepared to do your research using the resources provided above. Plan to use on-line and off-line resources. You may use additional sources not listed in this webquest, but remember to share what you find with your team.
3. While conducting your research, be sure to recored your findings, such as important dates, people, places, and terminology that go along with the First Continental Congress and Manifest Destiny.
4. At the beginning each class, share with your team members your findings from the previous day(s).
5. After you complete your research, begin working with your news team members to create a magazine or newspaper to report your findings about the First Continental Congress and Manifest Destiny to the class. Remember to be CREATIVE with your magazine or newspaper so that it appears authentic and realistic.
