Step 1: This activity starts out with students working individually to search for information that will answer some basic questions to build a background of knowledge.

Step 2: Students are placed into groups of 3. Individuals of differing reading abilities are placed into groups so that they can assist each other in understanding the information.

Step 3: Each group must decide on the type of product that they will use to complete the task.

Time line: 2 days for reading and answering questions

1 day to compare answers in groups

3 days to complete projects

1 day to practice

1 to 2 days to present information to class
