The time is the year 6000 B.C. The place is Catal Huyuk in Asia Minor. You live here with your parents , your siblings, and your grandparents. Your family has been engaged in farming for several generations.
Your grandfather is a wise and honored man. He frequently tells you stories of your family’s history. Tonight by the fire you inquire about how your family became farmers. Grandfather takes you back hundreds of years and explains how your people went from hunting animals and gathering grains for food to growing their own. He also relates how the use of fire and tools helped to change people lives.
