| About
I was born in San Diego, California while my father was in the Navy. We returned to Tryon( dad's hometown) when I was 18 months old. I attended grade school at District 5 in McPherson County as a first grader. We moved to Arthur County where I attended second through sixth grades. We returned to McPherson County and I finished my grade school years here. I graduated from McPherson County High School in 1973 and attended one year at North Platte Junior College (WHERE??!!) which is currently called North Platte Community College part of the MidPlains Community College system.
I married Randy Fisher in 1974. We live south of Tryon. We have two children - Melissa and Chad. Melissa graduated from MCHS and UNL with a Masters in Business Administration. Melissa married Corey Wacker and they have two children who are naturally the smartest and most talented grandchildren anyone could have. Adrian is seven and in the second grade. He plays football and is the Nintendo champion of the world. Chandler is three. She plays soccer and loves Barbies. They live in Papillion. Nebraska. Chad graduated from MCHS and Chadron State College with a Business Administration degree. He has returned to the ranch and is active in its operation with his dad. Chad is also the chef(cook) at the new steakhouse in town, the Iron Horse. He stays pretty busy with that.
I started to work here at McPherson County High School in July, 1997 after working five years in the Cooperative Extension system of the University of Nebraska as a 4-H aide in the Logan-McPherson office. I had worked as a paraeducator in a Thomas County school prior to that. I can't seem to get away from kids!! I enjoy my job here (most days)!
I love to read(whenI have the time) and collect frogs. Randy and I attend Mountain Man Rendevous during the summer. We belong to the American Legion and American Legion Auxilary respectively and attend church at the United Methodist Church in Tryon.
