Track Meet in Arnold The girls and boys track teams went to a track meet in Arnold on April 4th. It was a really tough meet, where they competed against many teams that will be in the district. They had a great opportunity to get a look at those competitors, and then try to qualify for State along with what they have seen. The girls' team finished with 42 points and the boys' finished with 15. They both have improved a lot since the first day. Results for the boys: Ben got 6th in Shot Put, Jake got 3rd in Triple Jump, Tyrel got 3rd in High Jump and 5th in 110 Meter High Hurdles. Eric participated in Long Jump and 100 meter dash and Gabe participated in 400 meter Dash. Results for the girls: Meka got 2nd in Shot Put and 2nd in Discus. Amy got 3rd in high jump and Mara got 5th. Kate, Ashley, Amy and Mara got 4th in 3200 meter relay. Tasha got 2nd in 3200 meter run. Molly participated in 800 meter run and Samantha participated in Discus and Shot Put. AGBB Wallace Track Meet The Wallace Track Meet was held on Tuesday, April 15 at Sutherland. Meka placed 2nd in Shot Put with a throw of 37'4", and she also placed 2nd in the Discus with a throw of 120'1". Kate placed 6th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.5, and she also placed 6th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 68.9. Tasha placed 1st in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:47.4. AJM.On the boys' side of the track meet, Tyrel placed 3rd in the 110m High Hurdles with a personal record (PR) of 16.5. Placing 4th were Ben in the Shot Put with a throw of 39' 11 3/4", Jake in the Triple Jump with PR of 40' 3", and Tyrel in the Long Jump with a jump of 19' 3 1/2".
