Farm and Ranch Management
Farm and Ranch Management is great job.  The best way to learn is on the job site.  You have to know how to run the business and know what you are doing.  You will have to make tough decisions.  You will make about $15,603 when you first start your business.  If you want to advance your learning you just have to keep up with the new agriculture methods.  This is interesting business because you can go work on a ranch or you can help other people manage their ranch or farm.   If you help other people with theirs then you can travel all over the country.  DPA

Prom
The Juniors Seniors, and their dates came to the wonderful meal at the McPherson County Gym.  They ate prime rib, cheesy taters, and beans.  Then we finished up our meal.  We had to clean up and smile nice for the pictures.  After the pictures the freshmen and the sophomores joined us at the dance.  After the very cool dance we had some ice cream.  After we ate we started betting on who was going to win the games.  We played a jousting game and basketball.  DPA

Railroad Safety
Larry Covey came to speak to the McPherson County High School students about Railroad (RR) Safety on Monday April 14. Larry spoke to us about how we should safely approach the crossing, wisely slow down, and look both ways no matter what. He also said not to go around the arms when they are down, and the lights are flashing.  For the RR crossings that don't have arms, slow down, and look both ways. The last rule is never stop your vehicle in the middle of the tracks, it may stall or die. AJM.

The McPherson County Band and Choir traveled to Grant on April 18.  The Superior in Band was Tasha Miller doing a clarinet solo.  Then the superiors in choir were the boys vocal duet, boys octet, Ashley with a vocal solo, and Kate with a vocal solo.  Good job guys.  JLS

Earth Day and Fine Arts Night

Earth Day this year was held on the 22nd of April. The whole school was split into 4 groups. Each group had a couple of yards to clean. Most groups were done by early after noon. They had sloppy Joe≠s, chips, and an ice cream bar.

Fine Arts Night was also held on the 22nd. All kids that were in an art class, music class, or shop class presented their work. The band and choir students performed the musical pieces. Everyone one did a great job.  AKW

Secretary's Day
Administrative Professional's Week is celebrated from April 21-25. Harry Klemfuss and Rubican created the National Secretary's Day in 1952. They wanted to show the importance and value of companies and business. His goal was to encourage more women to become secretaries, and using his skills he promoted the importance of the secretaries in business. The title is changing and evolving. There are two new terms in use today. They are "Administrative Professionals" and "Executive Admins." The two names sometimes mean different roles and responsibilities to different companies. AGBB
