Print-Friendly Version Longhorns vs. Wolves The Longhorns had their first game on Friday November
30. It was like any other day that we
played the Arthur Wolves. Yes, that's right, the rivalry game. The girls started the night off first with a
win over the Lady Wolves. The Lady
Longhorns top scorer was Meka with a total of 19 points. Tasha had the lead with the most steals with
5. The Lady Longhorns came up on top with
the score being 57-18. Then here comes the Longhorn men. They had a tough battle with the Wolves. The top scorers are Tui with 22 and Jake with 12. Tui and Jake were also the top rebounders. Tui had 5 steals and Jake, Ben, and Duell were tied for 2 steals. The boys had a tough game and unfortunately the Arthur Wolves came out with a victory. The final score was 51-42. DPA Thedford The McPherson County Longhorns traveled to Thedford on December 7. The girls dominated the court with the score of 51 - 43. Good job girls! The boys also dominated with the score of 56 - 50. High scorers were Tui with 24 and Jake with 14. Jake had 5 defensive rebounds and Matt, Petar, and Ben each had 2. Tui, Petar, and Ben each had 3 offensive rebounds and Chris and Jake each had 2. Jake had 6 assists and Tui had 3. Petar had 6 steals and Tui had 3. Good job boys. JLS Mullen Tui led the boys with 22 points and Jake had 12 points. Ben led the team with 8 rebounds. Petar also had 7 points. For the girls, Meka led the team with 12 points and Amy had 10 points. Nicole and Tasha also threw in 4 point a piece. Ashley and Jordan each had 2 points as well. Tasha and Meka also had 2 steals and 2 assists. AKW Wallace MCHS Ladies and Boys played basketball against Wallace, at Wallace, on December 14. They played JV and Varsity game. For the JV game, the MCHS Ladies lost to Wallace. Ashley had 6 points, and 1 rebound. Kate, Samantha and Molly had 2 points each. Molly had 3 rebounds and Samantha had 2. The boys JV also lost against Wallace. Girls Varsity had an excellent game, but unfortunately they lost. Meka had13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists. Amy had 10 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 assists. Nicole had 7 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. The Boys Varsity lost against Wallace. Artur Guilherme Bogo Borowicz had 22 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assists, and 5 steals. Benjamin Cochran had 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. PZP Games against Maxwell The Lady Longhorns went to Maxwell on December 12th, to play a tough game against them. Tasha contributed with 14 points, 4 steals and 4 rebounds, Ashley had 7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals and Meka had 4 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. The Lady Longhorns had some trouble at the beginning of the game, but then later they dominated the game and end up with 8 points ahead. The final score was 33-25.The Longhorns did not have a very good game. They also went to Maxwell to face the giants of Maxwell on December 12th. Even though the Longhorns lost, they still had some good stats shown in the game. Tui had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists, Jake had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal and Ben had 6 points, 9 rebounds and 1 steal. The final score was 78-38. AGBB December Features |
